Ancestral Affinity Circle for Beings of Asian Descent For Asian American and Pacific Islanders
- Presenter: Aki Hirata Baker
COME GATHER WITH OTHER WOMXN
Join MINKA brooklyn founder Aki Hirata Baker and guest facilitators to explore the ancestral realm for our individual and collective healing.
Through storytelling, meditation, visualization, and embodiment/somatic exercises, you will be fully seen and heard as you transform your wounds into your gifts. Participants can choose how they want to engage in this space as long as the safety of the online space is not compromised for the members of the learning community. They should also be prepared to experience an activation of energetic healing.
This session is best experienced in a quiet and safe physical space. Please wear comfortable clothing and have with a glass of water (or tea) and a snack for nourishment—along with a journal, writing utensil, yoga mat, and/or cushion.
NOTE This class is open to any womxn (i.e., woman, femme, trans, nonbinary, nongender-conforming) who wishes to create a deeper connection and healing of our ancestral lineage. Participants should identify as AAPI.
*AAPI stands for Asian American and Pacific Islander.
The MINKA Brooklyn and Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health partnership was created to bring in embodied equity and decolonization for all to elevate their personal and professional wellness practices. This is an active demonstration of the cocreation of a liberated future without competition and perfectionism to support the ability to show up in this work wholly. We are utilizing this opportunity to bring the wisdom of historically and currently marginalized communities to the forefront. Thank you for joining us on this journey as we boldly step into this work together.
