Being Refuge Dharma, Yoga, and Somatics
- Presenter: Leslie Booker
- Presenter: Djuna Devereaux

BECOME YOUR OWN REFUGE
What does it mean to become your own refuge? To create a safe space, sheltered from both external and internal harm, is foundational in dharma practice. It allows us to be at ease in our bodies, release delusion and fear, and open the door to freedom.
Join friends and creative collaborators Djuna Devereaux and Leslie Booker for a 90-minute session combining dynamic yoga, somatic movement, dharma teachings, silent meditation, and connection.
The meditation sessions will create a sacred pause for restoration and insight. Dharma teachings from the Buddhist tradition will provide a framework for cultivating inner refuge, true confidence, and courage. Somatic movement will release tension and awaken the senses, leading into a dynamic and nourishing yoga sequence. The movement practice will offer a direct experience of refuge through embodied presence and belonging.
NOTE: You will have access to the video recording(s) for 30 days after the program ends. All recordings will be available within 72 hours of the end of each session.
- Additional Opportunity: Join Djuna Devereaux and Leslie Booker for an on-campus program in September entitled Finding Our Ground: From Anxiety to Embodied Presence. Learn more here.
