DanzaMedicina Rewilding the Body

AN EXPERIENTIAL WORKSHOP FOR WOMEN

Join Morena Cardoso for a journey to explore the singularity of the wild. DanzaMedicina is an act against the collective anesthesia, the silencing of our instincts, the plasticization of our senses, the suppression of our visceral forces, and the normalization of our bodies. By working against the current times of disconnection, exhaustion, and superficialities, DanzaMedicina reminds us to embody what we should never ever forget.

An experimental practice of dance, healing movement, and body psychotherapy, DanzaMedicina offers an opportunity to recover our lost ancestral fragments while we surrender to the authenticity and spontaneity of the Self. It’s an invitation for women to remove their masks, face their fears, and embrace their shadows so they can move toward their wild and sacred feminine essence.

Through sensory exploration and movement, connection, art, mindfulness, empathy practices, and more, you will:

  • Learn to listen to the wisdom that emerges from your physical sensations, emotions, and movements.
  • Become more aware of your core needs, vital aspirations, nonnegotiable values, and personal boundaries.
  • Recognize that your issues are collective—as we consider origin, race, and class of our sisters—and not solely individual.
  • Worship nature as a ritualistic territory to summon and reconnect with the knowledge of the body.
  • Invoke a body that creates positive ruptures, visits new subjectivities, and encourages new ways of living.

Return home with a new sense of belonging and solidarity, grounded in a new sisterhood that embraces raw potency and transparent vulnerability.

NOTE DanzaMedicina incorporates an intersectional feminist lens, encouraging women to develop a critical understanding of how colonial, capitalist, and patriarchal unconsciousness creates modes of desiring-production, belief systems, and psychosomatic patterns.
