THE MEDITATIVE JOY OF BIRDWATCHING
Join Kripalu faculty member Katie Hagel and a Mass Audubon staff naturalist as they take you outside to enjoy the meditative joys of birdwatching.
Copresented by Kripalu and Mass Audubon, this popular program—offered at Kripalu since 2015!—invites you to:
- Understand how observing birds in nature shares many qualities with mindfulness.
- Soothe the mind through focused awareness and calm observation.
- Connect to the world and yourself in profound new ways.
Come hike the lovely trails and explore the serene waterways of Kripalu's campus and the Pleasant Valley Sanctuary in Lenox, Massachusetts. We just might encounter great blue herons, woodpeckers, and bald eagles along the way!
