Kripalu Outdoors Birding and Mindfulness

THE MEDITATIVE JOY OF BIRDWATCHING

Join Kripalu faculty Katie Hagel and education coordinator Dale Abrams as they take you outside to enjoy the meditative joys of bird watching.

Copresented by Mass Audubon and Kripalu, this program invites you to

  • Understand how observing birds in nature shares many qualities with mindfulness
  • Soothe the mind through focused awareness and calm observation
  • Connect to the world, and yourself, in profound new ways.

Come hike the lovely trails and explore the serene waterways of Kripalu’s Berkshire campus and Pleasant Valley Sanctuary in Lenox, Massachusetts. You just might encounter great blue herons, woodpeckers, and bald eagles along the way!
