Let Your Yoga Dance Teacher Training Module 1


Let Your Yoga Dance® Teacher Training is a powerful, unique, and joyous experiential inquiry into the art of becoming a transformational teacher.  

Join Let Your Yoga Dance founding director, Megha Nancy Buttenheim—who has been leading this training since 1997—and rediscover your body and its energy centers, or chakras, in a brand new way. In this training, you will learn to: 

  • Become an excellent instructor in the dance of yoga.
  • Build confidence, expertise, and authenticity.
  • Transform your relationship with music.
  • Embody the chakras.

Together, we create safe, brave, and sacred space in a loving, professional environment. 

NOTE No prior experience is necessary to take this module. Tuition includes a training manual which will be given to you on opening night. To become a certified Let Your Yoga Dance instructor, you must take Module 1 first, followed by Module 2. You may also attend Module 1 simply to experience this vibrant program without pursuing certification, but please note that all sessions are mandatory. Both modules are necessary to complete the Let Your Yoga Dance® Teacher Training. After graduation, you will be invited to join the Let Your Yoga Dance Teacher’s Association.

Module 1 teaches trainees the science and method of Let Your Yoga Dance® and its applications. Through movement, lecture, and experience, you will:

  • Learn all about the chakra system and how it relates to a Let Your Yoga Dance® classes.
  • Let your yoga dance daily through the chakras.
  • Receive a tremendous music library for your future classes.
  • Explore the the yamas and niyamas, the 10 ancient codes of yogic conduct.
  • Examine the VIA Inventory of Strengths, 24 positive psychology strengths.

This rich learning environment lives under the umbrella of compassion for self and for others. Kindness is key.
