The Mysterious Shoulder Joint Anatomy, Asana, and Therapeutics
- Presenter: Judith Hanson Lasater
THE IMPORTANCE OF OUR SHOULDERS
The shoulder is an important joint in the body as well as an important symbol of our strength and ability to succeed in the world.
Join physical therapist and yoga teacher Judith Hanson Lasater for a two-part live online program and learn how the position of our shoulders telegraphs our mood to the world. Judith will explain the anatomy and movement principles of the shoulder joint, and the surrounding joints that function with it.
Through anatomy review, student demonstrations, and your own asana work—to integrate what you have learned—you will become more conscious of the importance of this area in the body and how to adapt your yoga practice accordingly.
NOTE It is recommended that participants review anatomy of the shoulder joint before the program and come with questions. You will have access to the video recording(s) for 30 days after the program ends. All recordings will be available within 72 hours of the end of each session.
