Whether you are experienced in yoga or new to yoga practices, Cristie Newhart will help you discover that you can enjoy a strong yet gentle yoga practice enabling you to further embody the wisdom that comes in the elder years.
In this workshop, you will learn:
- Effective breathing techniques to help you strengthen focus, mindfulness, and energy
- Simple, supported, and smooth ways to move from seated to standing, remaining stable and relaxed as you move
- Balancing and other postures that focus on what older bodies need, including movements that support joint health, increased flexibility, and pain relief
- How to listen to and know your body better, discerning what your body would love to do while gently accepting its physical limitations and realizing its infinite capacity to engage in yogic practice
- A practice you can do at home that will help you gain confidence in yoga classes
- A deeper understanding of yoga beyond its physical practice
