Kari Harendorf, C-IAYT, E-RYT 500, is a yoga therapist, educator, holistic health facilitator, Reiki Master, and Ayurvedic Health Counselor. She merges spiritual practice with health science to spread love and help people feel and be their best. Kari holds multiple yoga certifications in different styles of yoga and is a master trainer of Urban Zen’s Integrative Therapy program. She spent over a decade leading trainings and anatomy in Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman Yee’s 200-hour and 300-hour teacher training

In 2004, Kari founded the East Yoga Center studio in New York’s East Village, where she famously merged her passion for yoga and dogs with a weekly “Doga” class. This led to features in publications including The New York Times, Yoga Journal, and The Wall Street Journal, as well as appearances on The Martha Stewart Show, ABC News, Fox & Friends, and her own TV show, K9 Karma, on Discovery’s Animal Planet.

Kari is on the faculty of Yoga Shanti’s 200-hour, 300-hour, and advanced teacher trainings, playfully focusing on helping students and teachers achieve precise anatomical alignment. For the past several years, Kari has also devoted herself to studying Ayurveda and training in the Katonah Yoga Method under Abbie Galvin and Katonah founder, Nevine Michaan. You can find her weekly in her virtual studio where she teaches two way livestream on Zoom as well as on her YouTube channel and Instagram for weekly yoga therapy pearls and mudra meditations.
