Kari Harendorf

Kari Harendorf, E-RYT 500, is a yoga teacher, Reiki Master, integrative therapist, and holistic health facilitator who merges spiritual practice with asana and health science to help people feel and be their best. A teacher of teachers, Kari serves on the faculty for Kripalu’s 200-hour yoga teacher training and is a lead faculty in Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman’s 300-hour advanced yoga teacher trainings. As a master trainer of Urban Zen’s Integrative Therapy program, she initiates Reiki practitioners, and teaches essential oils, yoga therapy, meditation, breath awareness, and contemplative care to future caregivers in hospital settings and private practice.

Kari founded the East Yoga Center in New York’s East Village, where she famously merged her passion for yoga and dogs in a monthly “Doga” class. She has been featured in several publications including the New York Times and Yoga Journal, and has appeared on several television programs including her own show, K9 Karma, on Discovery’s Animal Planet.
