Lisa Langer, PhD, is a clinical psychologist, clinical assistant professor at Northwell/Hofstra School of Medicine, and founder of PRACTICE Body Mind Soul, a wellness center in Roslyn, NY, and part of the Katz Women’s Institute/Northwell Health—their first Center for Wellness and Integrative Medicine.
A certified yoga instructor and mindfulness teacher with over 35 years of meditation experience, Lisa is the award-winning author of Deeper Into Mindfulness: Next Steps to Sustain Your Meditation Practice and Find Inner Peace. Her work earned her multiple honors, including the 2021 Silver Stevie Award for Most Influential Woman in Healthcare and the 2023 Stevie Awards for Woman of the Year and Most Innovative Woman in Healthcare.
Lisa is certified to teach Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction through the UC San Diego School of Medicine and holds a certificate in Gestalt psychotherapy. She teaches workshops at the College for Psychic Studies in London and speaks widely to healthcare professionals, educators, and community organizations on the benefits of mindfulness. Her insights have been featured in HuffPost and Thrive Global.
Blending traditional psychotherapy with mindfulness and ancient oracles, Dr. Langer offers a unique approach that empowers clients to navigate life’s transitions with clarity and compassion.
