Yoga, Art, and Mindfulness

For everyone; no experience necessary.

Kripalu is proud to partner with the world-renowned Norman Rockwell Museum for a one-of-a-kind program exploring the intersection of mindfulness, art, and creativity. Mindfulness, or the practice of focused awareness, continues to gain popularity as a tool for an array of mental and physical benefits, from stress-reduction to improved concentration to boosted creativity and innovation. Art theory, observation, and practice mesh perfectly with mindfulness techniques as deep, spiritual expression naturally manifests in visible and concrete ways.

In this program, you

  • Experience the rich exhibitions of the museum during private gallery tours
  • Learn meditation and breathing techniques to calm the mind and focus awareness
  • Explore your creative expression through outdoor drawing classes and other art-based activities throughout the week
  • Enjoy gentle, accessible yoga and movement sessions to renew and reinvigorate the body

The Norman Rockwell Museum is located on 36 picturesque acres overlooking the Berkshire Hills and Housatonic River. Art lovers and casual viewers alike can appreciate the museum's unique blend of world-class art and American social history. The museum's centerpiece collection of Rockwell works—the largest in the world—is complemented by permanent and visiting exhibitions focusing on the art of illustration, from the artists that influenced Rockwell to those that followed after him.

Note Tuition includes transportation, museum admission, and basic materials.
