The Story You Have to Tell

“Any chance you have to take a class with Cheryl Strayed—take it, grab it with both hands, and don’t look back. Your life will be changed in ways you can’t even begin to imagine.” —Angela L.

For writers of all levels.

If you’re ready to share your truest, saddest, hardest, funniest, most interesting stories, this program is for you. Best-selling author Cheryl Strayed helps you tap into and express the stories you’ve lived, imagined, repeated, remembered, forgotten, or denied. Whether your stories manifest as fiction, memoir, letters, journal entries, or poems, you learn how to write with courage, compassion, depth, and love.

Through lectures on elements of the writer’s craft, as well as the barriers that keep you from fearlessly accessing your creative voice, Cheryl shares everything she knows about writing and living a creative life, fostering a supportive environment to explore your stories. Through group and individual writing exercises, this program is an opportunity to

  • Write the stories you ache to tell
  • Ignite your creativity
  • Share your work with others, and go deeper into your own.

Note Please bring a notebook and pen for writing during program sessions.
