Samhain: A Celtic Threshold
Poetry, song, and ancient wisdom from Ireland
An Online Gathering with Brothers Owen and Mícheál
Join brothers Owen and Mícheál for a light-hearted, rich, and reflective exploration of Samhain, the ancient Celtic festival that marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of the dark half of the year. Often described as the Celtic New Year, Samhain invites us to pause at a threshold. To honor the ancestors, embrace the wisdom of endings, and welcome possibilities of renewal.
Drawing on Irish folklore, mythology, poetry, and song, Owen and Mícheál guide participants through the history and living traditions of this sacred time. Together, we will explore the symbolism of Samhain, its enduring relevance in modern life, and the ways in which it encourages us to deepen our connection with nature, memory, and the unseen.
Expect world class poetic recitation, sacred and traditional song from Ireland, conversation, music, and moments of quiet reflection as we gather in community to celebrate the most evocative festival of the Celtic calendar.
Whether you are new to Celtic traditions or have long been drawn to their wisdom, this session offers an opportunity to step across the threshold and discover the timeless spirit of Samhain.
