Aging invites us to move differently, listen more deeply to our bodies, and cultivate resilience of both body and mind.

This four-part on-demand workshop led by core faculty Sarajean Rudman explores the Kripalu approach to mindful movement, weaving together strength-building and cardiovascular exercise techniques, yoga, breath awareness, and meditation with current research on the science of aging.

Grounded in the Kripalu tradition of compassion, self-observation, and adaptability, each session will guide you through gentle yet effective yoga practices designed to enhance mobility, balance, and strength while honoring individual needs. Mindfulness techniques will be integrated throughout to support stress reduction, nervous system regulation, and overall well-being.

In this on-demand program, you will experience:

  • Gentle yoga designed to support healthy aging
  • Strength building techniques appropriate for aging bodies
  • Mindfulness meditation practices
  • Breathwork

We will also explore contemporary research that highlights the importance of mindful exercise as we age—showing how practices like yoga and meditation can improve brain function, support bone and joint health, reduce inflammation, and foster emotional resilience.

By the end of this workshop, you will not only have tools to create a sustainable movement and mindfulness practice, but also a deeper appreciation for the body’s wisdom at every stage of life.
