The Fundamentals of Longevity
Breath, cold, and the science of healthy stress
Learn Masterful Self-Regulation
Longevity isn't a single hack. It's a handful of basics, practiced well and often, and breath and cold are two of the most powerful. Join Samuel Whiting and Rachel Lee for a weekend devoted to exploring the intersection of their practices, principles, and perspectives.
Sam is a former elite athlete and certified Wim Hof Method instructor since 2017 who collaborates with WHOOP and UCLA Sports Medicine on cold-water immersion research. Rachel is the founder of Ice Bath Boston & Breath and a breathing specialist who has guided hundreds of people through nervous system regulation practices. Together they make the science clear and the practice approachable.
Through guided breathing sessions, discussion, and Q&A, you'll explore breathing mechanics and hormesis, the idea that small, intentional doses of stress can help your system adapt. On Saturday afternoon, you'll prepare indoors with the science and best practices of cold exposure, then step into an outdoor ice bath together, always at your own pace. You'll leave with a simple daily practice you can take home.
In this program, you'll experience:
- Guided breathing techniques, and the mechanics of why they work
- How hormesis works and where intentional, healthy stress fits in daily life
- How to prepare for, enter, and recover from cold water, safely and at your own pace
- How to build breath and cold into a daily routine that fits your life
- A shared experience in community, from the ice bath to the Saturday campfire
Designed for all levels of experience, whether you're brand new or already practicing.
NOTE: This program is designed for all levels of experience. Bring a swimsuit and warm layers for the outdoor cold exposure experience. Towels are provided. If you have cardiovascular health concerns, please consult your medical provider before participating. This program is not suitable for individuals who are pregnant or epileptic.
