Big Magic and Bold Music

For everyone.

Celebrate big magic, communal music, and the alchemy of joy in this first ever weekend retreat taught by author Elizabeth (Liz) Gilbert along with her partner, author and musician Rayya Elias. Big magic is what Liz calls the mystery of inspiration and this highly experiential program pays tribute to Mother’s Day by honoring all the unique ways we birth ourselves creatively.

The remarkable duo of Liz (author of Eat Pray Love and Big Magic) and Rayya (the punk rock hair stylist, filmmaker, and author of Harley Loco) are a study in opposites. They collaborate here to open you to the yin and yang of the creative process, working particularly with issues of fear. The weekend focuses on intimate examinations of the central creative tenets of courage, enchantment, permission, persistence, trust, and divinity.

Liz and Rayya also discuss the joy of making things “for no rational reason whatsoever,” sharing the process by which the two of them have been writing songs for years. They invite everyone, from seasoned artistic professionals to people who claim they don’t have a creative bone in their bodies, to join them in writing, singing, engaging conversation, and welcoming the unexpected.
