AN EMPOWERING PROGRAM FOR WRITERS

For the very first time, authors Tembi Locke (author of the memoir adapted for the Netflix show From Scratch), Allison Gilbert, and Abigail Santamaria are coming to Kripalu for a one-of-a-kind writing retreat.

Everyone has a story to tell—what’s yours?

Learn how to locate and place important moments of your past on the page and experience the regenerative journey of self-discovery, healing, and the renewed sense of agency over your life that telling your story provides. Whether you’re writing for personal fulfillment, aiming for publication, seeking to preserve family stories, or processing your past, these talented presenters will provide you with the tools you need to get started, maintain momentum, shape your narrative, and commit to your writing process.

Through engaging discussion, group activities, sharing, and ample opportunity to write, you will:

  • Engage in writing exercises that help organize your past.
  • Explore what it means to be brave and persistent with your work.
  • Produce words on the page that accelerate your writing journey.

This inspiring program will help you map a path for maintaining your writing practice at home and stay with you long after the weekend ends.
