DEVOTION ON SACRED ANCESTRAL LAND

Join Mohican Nation member Shawn Stevens and Kripalu faculty Jennifer Reis for a vibrant weekend to celebrate and practice indigenous wisdom and yoga togetherLearn the importance of ceremony and how it brings people together in unity and healing, while immersed in the beauty of the Mohican Tribe’s sacred ancestral lands. 

Through prayer, meditation, and yoga postures based on Mohican themes, you will

  • Be guided through the sacred map of the Seven Directions as a way to bring clarity to your inner direction
  • Explore the sacred medicines of tobacco leaves, sage, cedar, and sweet grass—and how to skillfully work with them
  • Learn about indigenous culture including regalia, storytelling, music, and prophecies.

This program is suitable for all levels of yoga practitioners, including beginners.
