Kripalu Outdoors: Hiking and Yoga

Explore the trails and forests of the Berkshires and experience a deeper connection to the earth, and yourself, in Kripalu’s most popular outdoor program. Along the summits of the protected Yokun Ridge trail system just outside our front door, discover why the area’s natural beauty—combined with the proven health benefits of outdoor activity—have drawn visitors here since the mid-19th century.

This program includes

  • Daily group hikes with our professional guides on the beautiful conservation areas of the Berkshire Natural Resources Council
  • Accessible and restorative all-levels yoga and movement classes
  • An introduction to Kripalu Mindful Outdoor experience
  • Outdoor meditation at Bullard Woods, one of the few remaining old-growth forests in New England
  • Time to relax, recharge, and meet new friends.

Coupled with yoga and meditation sessions held both indoors and out, this Kripalu retreat leaves you feeling refreshed and revitalized, with a renewed connection to the great outdoors.

Note Participants should be prepared to cover several miles each day over hilly and sometimes difficult terrain. Appropriate footwear required, snowshoes, crampons, and trekking poles provided based on trail conditions.

Nina Henrikson is a Kripalu Yoga teacher and martial arts instructor who blends a love of nature with movement practice to inspire and motivate personal transformation in students of all ages.
