On Campus Program

Mindful Movement and Learning for Children

Join Samantha Diver and Nicole Rafferty, two passionate and knowledgeable educators, for a one-of-a-kind program for children ages 10–15 that combines nature walks, themed yoga, and mindfulness activities to improve self-esteem, self-regulation, connection, and executive functioning skills.

Throughout the week, you will explore:

  • Self-esteem building, resiliency, community, friendship, equality, and love.
  • Yoga poses, creative movement, activities, games, and songs.
  • Techniques for stress management, relaxation, managing emotions, and improving focus.
  • Executive Functioning Skills: Planning, prioritizing, organizing, remembering, and executing.
  • Reflection, journaling, and arts & crafts.

Participants will finish the week with a toolbox filled with the skills and strategies for success in the classroom and beyond. There is also a one-hour follow-up Zoom session included in tuition.

Note This program is suitable for children ages 10–15 years. Children in this program must be accompanied at Kripalu by a parent or adult who is registered for an R&R Retreat. Kids meet for morning and afternoon sessions while parents are in their programs. Families are together at mealtimes, in the evenings, and overnight.

Note Being at Kripalu with your child creates a foundation for exploring health and wellness together. Learn more about kids and teens at Kripalu.
