LEARN FROM A MASTER TEACHER & SCHOLAR

Join associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School and editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Yoga Therapy, Sat Bir S. Khalsa, for an informative presentation on the science of yoga and how it impacts those with  post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and trauma.

The experience of trauma and PTSD has an unfortunately high prevalence in modern society. Despite that fact that many of the cardinal symptoms include physical bodily characteristics, the conventional approaches to treating trauma and PTSD are largely psychologically and cognitively based with limited efficacy.

Through lecture and research examples that illustrate how yoga has been applied as an therapeutic intervention, you will learn about:

  • The scientific rationale for multicomponent traditional yoga practices
  • The published research evidence supporting the efficacy of yoga for PTSD
  • The growing demand of trauma sensitive yoga for the treatment of trauma and PTSD.

This program is for anyone interested in learning more about the benefits of yoga as it specifically pertains to helping those with trauma and PTSD.

NOTE You will have access to the video recording(s) for 30 days after the program ends. All recordings will be available within 72 hours of the end of each session.
