Practicing Shabbat is like experiencing a deeply renewing yoga posture. Over this retreat, we draw upon yoga and the Jewish spiritual practices of mindfulness, prayer, chant, and study to hold the pose of Shabbat, which helps us open to the love that lies deep inside us.

Guided by gifted teachers, you enjoy a pause from the busyness of the holiday season to rest in the spacious awareness of being that the Sabbath offers.

Rabbi Myriam Klotz is the director of the Spirituality Initiative for Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion/New York, and leads Jewish yoga retreats nationally.

Cantor Elizabeth Shammash serves Tiferet Bet Israel in Philadelphia, and is on the faculty of the Institute for Jewish Spirituality, where she teaches yoga and mindfulness to rabbis and cantors.
