At Kripalu, we are committed to creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment where all guests, students, faculty, and staff can learn, heal, and grow.
Your safety and well-being are our top priorities, and we ask that all members of our community take an active role in fostering a campus atmosphere grounded in compassion, awareness, and mutual respect.
Kripalu is a diverse and evolving community where people come together on journeys of transformation, healing, and self-discovery. Our Community Agreements are a foundational part of campus life and outline shared expectations that help sustain a supportive and welcoming environment for all.
We ask everyone on campus to familiarize themselves with the Community Agreements.
The Kripalu Campus Safety Department is on duty 24/7 to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment. The office is located near the Main Entrance and also serves as Kripalu’s First Aid Station.

For any on-campus emergencies, please contact Campus Safety directly. Staff are trained to respond to medical incidents, personal safety concerns, and emergency situations.
Emergency telephones are available throughout the campus. These phones can be used to reach Campus Safety or the Front Desk at any time. If you require additional safety support during your stay—such as accessible evacuation information or assistance with a personal concern—please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Kripalu continues to monitor health and safety guidelines and adjusts our practices as needed to protect our community. Our current approach emphasizes individual responsibility, community care, and shared respect for one another’s well-being.

- Cleaning & Sanitization Practices:
- There are no housekeeping services in guest rooms during your stay. Rooms are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before your arrival.
- Kripalu uses cleaning products that meet EPA guidelines and are effective against viruses, bacteria, and other pathogens. Our cleaning practices exceed Massachusetts State requirements.
- We have upgraded HVAC systems in many of our core program rooms and the dining hall.
Kripalu has specific protocols for students participating in extended on campus Schools training programs:
All Schools students are required to test for Covid-19 within 48 hours prior to arrival. If you test positive, you will not be able to attend the Kripalu Schools training, and a full refund will be given.
While on campus, students should plan to test each week of their program and bring rapid home tests accordingly.
If you test positive during your training, you must leave Kripalu. In this case, you will be eligible for a modified Kripalu Schools cancelation policy: a prorated credit on account toward a future training for the portion missed due to early departure and valid for 1 year from date of issue.
If a classmate tests positive, all students in the training will be required to take a rapid test and if negative, still mask for five days before testing again.
Once the entire group has tested negative five days out, masks are no longer required, if no symptoms are present.
Masks are required, even with a negative Covid-19 test, if symptoms of active infection arise during the training.
Additional information on our can be found here in our cancelation policy.
Everyone who enters Kripalu contributes to the atmosphere we co-create. By practicing awareness, compassion, and care, you help maintain a community where transformation is possible for all.
If you experience or witness behavior that goes against our community values, we encourage you to speak up or report it. Together, we hold the shared responsibility of making Kripalu a sanctuary of learning, healing, and connection.
