An Advanced Course in Relational EMDR Therapy Taking the Journey to the Next Level

For experienced EMDR therapists.

As EMDR therapists who treat complex developmental trauma, we understand the importance of the therapeutic relationship as part of the healing journey when our clients are suffering from attachment wounds. The challenge is how to bring our best self to the clinical situation, using moment-to-moment experience to facilitate and share the work with our clients.

This program explores Relational EMDR therapy—ways to use our self to best meet the needs of the clinical situation, creating the conditions that make it possible for a client to approach uncharted emotional territory and move toward healing and transformation. Deany Laliotis uses small group exercises, videos of client sessions, and live demonstrations to optimize the therapeutic relationship both in and out of EMDR processing and to facilitate the client’s experience. She offers conceptual knowledge and practical skills for working with attachment-related phenomena using the self of the therapist within an EMDR-based framework.
