The Cancer Adventureland Living in Relationship With Cancer
- Presenter: Bonnie Gintis
OPEN YOURSELF UP TO NEW WAYS OF LIVING
Journey into living and thriving with the uncertainty of cancer.
Join osteopathic physician, Bonnie Gintis, who has been living in relationship with metastatic breast cancer for 15 years, as she helps you navigate this territory in a workshop that offers possibilities—ones that can reshape you and open you to adventure and new ways of living.
Bonnie will guide you to:
- Explore and develop your relationship to life, and cancer’s role in that relationship.
- Consider the many expressions of and doorways to health and healing.
- Learn about the lifestyle practices of people who live and thrive in the presence of cancer.
- Experience movement, breath, meditation, and inspiration in the beauty of nature.
We will cultivate curiosity, courage, resilience, and the ability to view our lives through the lens of possibility rather than catastrophe. We will also practice embodied connectedness as our time together reveals the answers to the question posed by the poet Mary Oliver: “What is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”
NOTE This program is suitable for people who presently have a cancer diagnosis, or have had one in the past; people living with cancer as a chronic condition; people concerned about cancer in their future; loved ones of people with cancer; healthcare practitioners who work with people with cancer; and anyone willing to explore new ways of living with uncertainty.
