Write Now Writing and Yoga Workshop

FIND YOUR MIRROR
This is your season. Your story begins, ends, and begins again. Through the writing process a discovery is made; something happens. The yoga of words, a vinyasa of sentence, prose, poems—stories come together. To everything there is a season. The practice of yoga helps us to slow down, gain awareness, and become introspective. Writing enhances our creativity, helps us reflect on our insights, and inspires our transformations.
In this workshop, through the support of yoga practices, we will focus on the process of writing through discovery writing, exploring mediums of writing and finding a mirror of ourselves in the writing of others.
You will:
- Learn different writing modalities to delve deeper into your writing journey.
- Discover how writing themes can enhance self-discovery and creativity.
- Consider the role of seasons in your life—the season you are in, are coming from, the season we are in collectively—to season your writing.
- Become comfortable sharing your writing.
- Let go of overthinking and self-editing, allowing your process to be messy and incomplete.
- Enjoy word play and explore out-of-the-box exercises.
- Engage in yoga practices to reduce tension in the body, awaken creative energy, and quiet the mind.
- Use Kripalu yoga tools to meet your resistance and get past writer's block.
Please join us as we share this multidisciplinary creative experience.
