Shiatsu, Meditation, and Mindful Movement

FEEL THE ENERGY FLOW

Shiatsu is a form of Japanese bodywork rooted in East Asian medical philosophy. Where acupuncture uses needles to target acupressure points in the meridian system, shiatsu balances the flow of vital energy (or ki) through touch, stretching, and guided movement.

Join respected Shiatsu Grand Master Kumiko Kanayama as she guides you to explore five elements theory, meridians, stretches, and fundamental techniques. Through experiential learning, minimal lecture, meridian exercises, and more, you will:

  • Locate the twelve meridians in your body.
  • Loosen your body to promote the flow of ki.
  • Learn acupressure techniques you can use to release stress.
  • Be able to give a full body shiatsu session to family and friends.

Return home with techniques and shiatsu exercises you can implement at home as a foundation of general health.
