A JOYFUL AND LIBERATING JOURNEY
“A creative life is an amplified life. It’s a bigger life, a happier life, an expanded life, and a hell of a lot more interesting life.” —Elizabeth Gilbert
It is so easy to compare ourselves with others... wishing we were more productive, more creative, more gifted. However, we all come into this world with the same beautiful and infinite spark of creative possibility. It is how we choose to nurture, exercise, and bravely share our creativity that allows it to bloom into our authentic one-of-a-kind magic. Without adequate nurturing, our creativity—a powerful piece of our identity—may get thwarted.
Join Kripalu faculty members as they guide you on a joyful and liberating journey of reclaiming your creative spark and leading it wherever it craves to go. Through yoga, meditation, and expressive arts activities, you will explore:
- The Kripalu approach to compassionate and playful creativity
- The inner-critic and any blocks that might get in the way of authentic expression
- Your creative identity through experiential ways of knowing self and others
- The intermodality of the arts (visual art, writing, dance/movement, music) as tools for self-awareness, destressing, and community-building
- Simple practices and tools to reinvigorate past, current, or future creative projects
- Receiving and trusting one’s own creative wisdom and healing.
Join us and learn techniques to tap into your innate wisdom and freely express yourself. A current arts-based and/or a meditation practice is not required for this workshop, just an open mind and willingness to play with your innate creativity.
