Restore Your Self A Retreat for Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists and Practitioners
- Presenter: Laura Schmidt

SLOW DOWN AND ATTUNE WITHIN
Do you find yourself working harder in session than your clients? Are your expectations for your role as a healing professional unsustainable? Which parts chose this career for you?
Join Laura Schmidt, Senior IFS Therapist, Approved Clinical IFS Consultant, and AAMFT Supervisor, as she guides you with care and skill on an internal exploration to deepen relationships between Self and hard-working parts who want you to be a “good” therapist and help your clients heal.
Supported by the group’s collective Self energy, this nurturing retreat offers a rare opportunity to slow down, attune within, and restore the energy and attention so easily given to others. This spacious time is just for YOU—no one else to be responsible for.
Through experientials, somatic and creative practices, live demos, guided meditations, play, and personal and small group reflection, you will:
- Embody compassionate, calm Self energy even with activating clients.
- Strengthen relationships between your Self and Self-like parts.
- Clarify patterns that hinder setting clear boundaries with clients.
- Befriend parts that restrict your Self-care.
- Gain insight and practices to prevent burnout and maintain professional vitality.
Return home restored and equipped to embody a Self-led, impactful, and sustainable clinical practice that energizes rather than depletes. Celebrate how nurturing your own system enables both you and your clients to thrive.
Space is limited to 30 participants. Invite a colleague to join you and reserve your spot today.
NOTE: This retreat is for IFS therapists or practitioners with active caseloads, the catalyst for our time together. Given the vulnerability of our content and the sacred space we hold for one another, participants are expected to have completed extensive live, interactive IFS training and personal IFS therapy. Pre-IFS Level 1 participants need to have completed at least a multi-day IFS introduction and be integrating IFS into their caseload. After registration, you’ll be asked to describe your IFS experience in order to confirm your participation. Thank you!
NOTE: IFS CEs pending IFS-I approval
