The Yoga of Voice

For everyone.

Come as you are to whisper, roar, laugh, sing, and free your own powerful and authentic voice! Just as practicing yoga postures can cultivate strength and flexibility of mind and heart, practices of breathing, chanting, intoning, and speaking can increase mental and emotional courage, calm, and creativity, in addition to developing a more resonant, responsive, and wide-ranging voice.

Join Jurian Hughes, a senior Kripalu faculty member and long-time theater actress and coach, for an inspiring and enlivening program designed to open and strengthen the solar plexus and throat—the energy centers of the body related to personal power and communication. Discover tools to release your unique voice with ease; experience the healing effects of making sound without restriction; feel the confidence that comes with declaring your own personal truth; and tap into creative resources through the playful coupling of yoga postures, movement, and sound.

All are welcome; introverts and extroverts, those who love the sound of their own voice, and those who long to love it!
