A RITUAL TO HONOR BLACK HISTORY MONTH

Join us for a special Saturday evening program to celebrate some of the incredible Black Voices in the Kripalu community.

Together, we create a community that acknowledges and honors the past, embraces the present, and builds towards our vision of a world united in service towards well-being, peace, and justice. Join us in a celebration of wisdom, unity, and empowerment by reserving your spot today!

This special one-of-a-kind 90-minute offering will be led by Maya Breuer founder Yoga Retreat for Women of Color™ and Emeritus Trustee of Kripalu and feature Ava Taylor, Jameela Hill, Kiesha Battles, Michell C. Clark, Jamyal Newton, Phyllis Jeffers-Coly, Pilin Anice and Reggie Hubbard.

Participants will practice, pray, move, meditate and be enveloped in sound as we honor and embody the beautiful and integral contributions of Black voices at Kripalu and beyond.

NOTE Kripalu is delivering this livestream experience through a third party platform. Maya Breuer (she/her), E-RYT 500, YACEP, is the Head of Research and Yoga Advancement for Yoga Alliance, cofounder of the Black Yoga Teachers Alliance, Emerita Trustee of Kripalu, and creator of the Yoga Retreat for Women of Color™.

Reggie Hubbard is an internationally recognized yoga and meditation teacher and the founder and chief serving officer of Active Peace Yoga. Reggie's yoga and meditation practice have served as a sanctuary of peace and perspective while navigating the stresses of being a Black man in the world.

Jameela Hill is full-time artist, yoga teacher, doula, and founder of Jijivisha Holistic, a healthcare company that provides Black women with tools to cultivate healthy, affirming relationships and find their purpose.

Ava Taylor, an avid yogi and creative entrepreneur, the founder of YAMA Talent, author of Your Yoga Business: Tools and Techniques for Success, and the Regenerative Community Manager at Kripalu.
